Students at St. Augustine School have a number of extracurricular options available to them!

Seasonal After School Clubs
We have several after school clubs that rotate each term (fall, winter, spring) enabling students to explore a variety of activities over the course of the year. These offerings are organized by faculty and/or parents. Some clubs that St. Augustine School has held in the past include cooking club, ski club, and BOKS club. Each year teachers offer different clubs, so be on the lookout for after school club applications each term!

Yearly Activities
We also run established programs that are offered on an on-going basis. These programs include:

Basketball Team
Boys  and girls  teams participate in the Merrimack Valley Catholic Basketball League. From November through February, students compete with other area Catholic schools for league championship status. For league information and game schedules, go to www.mvcba.com. Available to students in Grades 4-8.

Volleyball Team
Boys  and girls in grades 6-8 can join the volleyball team in the fall and spring. Weekly practices help students to hone their skills and games are held throughout the season against area Catholic schools.

Leadership Team
Each year students in Grades 5-8 experience the democratic process by holding elections, complete with campaign speeches and posters, to determine the middle school Leadership Team. The team consists of one representative from each homeroom class, as well as a 7th/8th grade president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The Leadership Team meets regularly to discuss upcoming events, activities, and issues affecting middle school students.

School Choir
Our music instructor works with students in Grades 4-8 to develop their voices, teach them to sing in harmony, and lead the congregation during the school's liturgical celebrations. Students also participate in special concerts that are held in December and June, along with the string orchesta.

String Orchestra
Learning to play string instruments is introduced and nurtured through this activity, which is offered during the school day. Violin, viola, and cello are enthusiastically tuned and played as students learn the basics and evolve to master more complicated musical pieces. Concerts are held in December and June so parents, family, and friends can enjoy the progress the students make during the year. Available to students in Grades K-8.

Student Yearbook
Much time and energy is put into creating a memory book that records the experiences of our graduating students. Photos, poems, anecdotes, and letters are compiled into a book that is sure to be cherished for years to come.

STREAM Team
Members of the STREAM (Science Technology Religion Engineering Art Mathematics) team consist of 7th and 8th grade students who enjoy working collaboratively to explore complex problems with real world applications. In the past students have designed working water filtration systems as well as successful egg drop containers. In the spring our students compete against other area Catholic School STREAM teams.

Tech Team
The Tech Team is comprised of 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in (and gifted in) technology. Students distribute classroom iPads as well as assist teachers in any troubleshooting they may need.

Academic Bowl
Students in grades five through eight compete against area Catholic schools in trivia style meets. Different categories offer a wide variety of topics covered as students can show their depth and breadth of knowledge.

Math Team
Students in grades six, seven, and eight compete against area middle schools in bimonthly math competitions. Weekly practices help the students prepare for the competitions which are organized into rounds based on math categories.
